Winnipeg police say a 21-year-old man is in custody and is expected to be charged in connection to the death of Charles Danny Chartrand earlier this year.
On Feb. 3, WPS responded to a home on Fountain Street near Logan Avenue regarding an unresponsive man.
Officers provided emergency medical care, police say, before the man was taken to hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead in hospital.
The man was later identified as Chartrand.

Through an investigation, police were able to identify a suspect, and the Crown authorized a charge of second degree murder.
Investigators also learned that Chartrand and the accused knew each other before the fight.
On Sept. 10, police arrested 21-year-old Rory Alexander Mousseau on the strength of a warrant, while he was already in police custody for an unrelated matter.
