Winnipeg police say they are investigating a collision involving a school bus that put one person in hospital Wednesday afternoon.
WPS says officers responded to Keslar Road in Richmond West around 3:26 p.m. after receiving a report of a collision.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a collision had occurred between a school bus and a van.
The officers checked on the well-being of the students and the 17-year-old driver of the van. The teen was taken to hospital in unstable condition, and has since been upgraded to stable. Police did not say if any of the students suffered any injuries.
Through the initial stages of an investigation, police believe that the van was being driven near Lee Boulevard south of Bison Drive between Pembina Highway and Waverley Boulevard.
WPS says more information will be provided at a later date, and is asking if anyone has any information to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
