Search for two boys swept away by Manitoba lake rapids enters 4th day

The search to locate the two boys, aged 10 and 13, who were swept away by fast-moving water at a provincial park east of Winnipeg has entered a fourth day.
Divers are continuing to search the waters of Nutimik Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park while drones scan the shorelines.
The boys went missing Saturday when the 10-year-old slipped on the rocks and fell into the water, and the 13-year-old went in after him, according to police.

“Both ended up getting caught in the current, getting washed down the falls,” Staff Sgt. Cory Meyers with the Manitoba RCMP told CityNews Monday.
Divers from two teams – the RCMP and the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART) – have been searching the waters nears the falls while patrols are being made along the shoreline.
Volunteers in boats and personal watercraft have also been providing support in the search effort, police say.
Lac du Bonnet RCMP are asking all boaters in the area to “immediately report anything that may help locate the two children.” They say that can include clothing, personal belongings, footwear or any items in the water or along the shoreline that appear out of place.
