Manitoba government to hold rally to celebrate Canada

The Manitoba government will host a Rally for Canada on Sunday, April 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Legislative Building, Premier Wab Kinew announced today.

“At a time when Manitobans and Canadians are united, we want to invite every Manitoban to join us at the people’s building to celebrate our beautiful province and our great nation,” said Kinew. “Bring your kids, your family and your friends to show their Manitoban and Canadian pride and send a message – we will never be the 51st state.”

The event will feature activities for children, performances by local artists including Fred Penner, and food trucks on site.

It is free, kid-friendly, and open to all.

“We look forward to celebrating our province and our country with all Manitobans,” the premier added.
