Manitoba semi-truck crash near Sidney sends one person to hospital

The Manitoba RCMP says one person is hurt after a semi-truck collision on Friday.

Mounties from Portage la Prairie say just before 5 p.m. on Nov. 4, they responded to a multi-semi-collision along Highway 1 just outside Sidney — roughly 135 km west of Winnipeg.

The RCMP believes the driver of one of the semi-trucks pulled over to check their load when they were hit from behind.

One of the drivers, a 34-year-old man from Portage la Prairie, was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

The RCMP says the investigation is ongoing.
