2 homes damaged following fire Wednesday afternoon

A home has been left with significant damage, while another suffered minor damage following a house fire Wednesday afternoon.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a house fire on Erin Woods Road just before 12:30 p.m. on July 8
When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the house, which was threatening a neighbouring home.
Firefighters began using defensive measures to try to protect nearby homes from flames and heat, before the fire was declared under control at 1:54 p.m.
One home was significantly damaged from smoke, fire, and water, while another suffered some damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
