Amber Alert cancelled after missing 2-year-old located safe

Winnipeg Police has cancelled an Amber Alert issued earlier Friday after a missing two-year-old boy was safely located.

Police confirmed that William EttaWacappo, who had been reported abducted from a residence on Chesterfield Avenue at approximately 10:09 a.m. on Friday, has been found.

The Amber Alert, released at 1:08 p.m.

The 30-year-old woman believed to have taken the child has been located, and police say the investigation remains ongoing. Any potential charges have not yet been announced.
