Snow plowing to start tonight in Winnipeg

The City of Winnipeg says its crews will start plowing sidewalks and pathways Saturday evening.
With additional snow and milder temperatures in the forecast, we expect to begin plowing main routes tomorrow night.
Plowing operations will be done based on the street priority system.
City officials say drivers should pay attention to the weather conditions and use extreme caution when near heavy equipment.
The annual winter route parking ban is in effect. There is no parking between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. on streets designated as winter routes.
Those who violate the parking ban may be ticketed and their vehicles may be towed.
Winter routes are marked by signage or can be checked using the Know Your Zone app or by calling 311.
