Canoer dead after falling in Manitoba lake during race

A 51-year-old canoe racer has died after falling into a lake over the weekend.
Mounties responded to a report of a possible drowning around 7:45 p.m. on June 20.
Reports indicate that a man was taken to a Nursing Station after he was pulled from a lake after he fell in while participating in a canoe race.
The man was wearing a life jacket and was quickly pulled from the lake before being taken to the Nursing Station, where he later died.
