Manitoba RCMP arrest 2 suspects in Thompson homicide; 3rd suspect remains wanted

Two suspects wanted in connection with last month’s death of a 21-year-old man in Thompson, Man., have been arrested.

Thompson RCMP say Eternity Chastelaine, 19, and Marshall Merasty, 24, were arrested Tuesday.

Merasty was wanted for second-degree murder, while Chastelaine was wanted for manslaughter. Both remain in police custody and are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. The allegations against them have not been tested in court.

A third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, remains wanted by police for second-degree murder.

Police say a man from Leaf Rapids was stabbed to death on May 20.
