Winnipeg man randomly stabbed by group of teens, police say

Winnipeg police say a man in his 60s was randomly attacked and stabbed by a group of teenagers in the Mynarski neighbourhood on Saturday night.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the man was walking near a condo complex on Troy Avenue near Fife Street around 9 p.m. when the teens began yelling at him.

During the ensuing confrontation, police allege the man was stabbed, pushed to the ground, and further assaulted. The suspects ran off and the victim called police.

The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

One of the suspects was described as a boy in his mid-teens, with facial hair, wearing a white hoodie and white pants.
