Winnipeg police say a 31-year-old woman has been charged with allegedly trafficking drugs.
WPS began a drug and firearm investigation in January as it was believed a home along Grady Bend Place and two vehicles — a 2015 Cadillac SRX and a 2017 Nissan Rogue — were being used to traffic.
On Feb. 7, police conducted a traffic stop on the Cadillac and took the woman who was driving into custody. At the time, officers were reportedly able to find and seize 71 grams of methamphetamine, a cell phone, and $1,100 in cash.
Later that day, a search warrant was executed at the home on Grady Bend Place, and police were able to find and seize a .22 calibre Savage rifle, a 9mm Rohn handgun, ammunition, 446 grams of methamphetamine, 46 grams of heroin, 116 UD LSD (acid) patches, nine grams of Psylocibin, a money counter, scales, and packaging.
The estimated values of all the drugs seized is around $96,440.
Police say the 31-year-old woman — Alexandra Lynn Prefontaine — has been charged with 17 offences including firearms, drug trafficking, proceeds of crime, and breach of an Undertaking.
