Double homicide in Winnipeg: Two suspects arrested

The Winnipeg Police Service has arrested two brothers who were wanted under country-wide warrants in relation to two murders.

On February 15, Sheldon Derrach Catheway and Shanastene Irene Mcleod  were found with gunshot wounds at a home on Alfred Avenue, near Aikins Street.

They were rushed to hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.

Later warrants for 27-year-old Aaron Junior Colin Houle and 24-year-old Jermaine Gage Houle were issued, and police say both brothers have now been arrested.

The younger brother has been charged with second-degree murder, and the older brother is facing a charge of accessory after the fact to murder.

Both were detained.
