70-year-old woman dies after being found in Lake Winnipegosis

Winnipegosis RCMP received a report about a 70-year-old woman who allegedly fell through the ice on Lake Winnipegosis.
It is believed she had gone on her regular walk with her two dogs and did not return home.
A family member went to the location and found one of the dogs sitting on the ice.
RCMP and local fire department personnel arrived at the scene and began searching the surrounding area, which had sections of open water.
The woman was eventually found beneath the ice and retrieved. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
