Teen hit by train in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police say a teen is in hospital after being hit by a train on Sunday.

Around 4:30 p.m., WPS responded to a report of a person being hit by a train near Pembina Highway and Bison Drive.

Police say a 16-year-old was taken to hospital in critical condition with serious life-altering injuries. He has since been upgraded to stable.

Winnipeg police and C.N. police believe the incident is an accident, and are investigating the incident.
