Man found dead inside home on Selkirk Avenue: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police are investigating a mysterious death that happened Monday afternoon on Selkirk Avenue.

WPS says officers responded to a home along Selkirk Avenue around 4:40 p.m., after receiving a report that a man was dead.

Police say the man has been identified as 56-year-old Edgar Allan Bear, of the Peguis First Nation.

The homicide unit has since taken over the investigation.

Police are asking if anyone has any information regarding Bear’s death to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
