Downtown homicide victim identified as 16-year-old boy

Winnipeg police have identified the victim of Friday’s downtown homicide as a 16-year-old boy.

Police say they found the teenager’s body outside a home on Balmoral Street near Sargent Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m.

Police say they were responding to a report of suspicious circumstances at the home.

The homicide unit investigated and determined the death to be a homicide.
