Another potential COVID-19 exposure on transit

WINNIPEG – There’s been yet another potential exposure of COVID-19 on Winnipeg Transit.

In this case, the infected passenger rode route 47 on the weekend of Sept. 12 and 13.

On Saturday, the person boarded the bus at Mayfair Avenue and Queen Elizabeth Way around 11:30 a.m. and got off at the stop at Kildare Avenue West and Kootenay Crescent around 12:10 p.m.

On Sunday, the person boarded the bus around 9:45 p.m. at Plessis Road and Rosseau Avenue West and got off around 10:20 p.m. at Mayfair Avenue and Queen Elizabeth Way.

The city says it is in the process of notifying the drivers on the route during those times and will be following up with the appropriate measures.

If you may have come into contact with this person, monitor yourself for symptoms and visit a testing site if you begin showing any.

If you’re sick, the city asks that you don’t take transit.
