Manitoba unveils new licence plates featuring a loon

The Manitoba government has unveiled new provincial park licence plates featuring a loon.

Premier Wab Kinew says that Manitobans love our provincial parks, and this licence plate will help show your support.

He says thousands of Manitobans voted for their favourite design and the loon came out on top.

A total of 62,000 people responded to the survey to help pick a new licence plate design.

A portion of the proceeds from every licence plate sold will go to the Manitoba Provincial Parks Endowment Fund through the Winnipeg Foundation.

The new licence plates will be available for purchase at MPI service centres in spring 2027.
