Manitobans can vote on new licence plates supporting provincial parks

The Government of Manitoba is looking for a new licence plate and is asking Manitobans to vote on their favourite design.

The new licence plates will reportedly let drivers show their support for the province’s provincial parks, with some money from each plate that is sold going toward the Manitoba Provincial Park Endowment Fund.

“Manitoba is home to 93 incredible provincial parks, and these new provincial park licence plates will give Manitobans a way to show their support for these very special places,” said Environment and Climate Change Minister Mike Moyes. “I want to encourage everyone who loves our parks here in Manitoba to take a look at the designs and vote for your favourite.”

An application for the new plates was brought forward by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC).

Manitobans can vote for their favourite licence plates until July 31 on the Government of Manitoba website, with the winning plate being available for purchase in 2027.
