Police arrest man accused of stealing $27K of merchandise from Winnipeg stores

Winnipeg police have arrested a man accused of stealing $27,000 worth of merchandise from a number of retailers in the city.

The suspect is alleged to have attended the stores multiples times beginning last month before his arrest on Monday.

Police say the accused was located in the area where the thefts occurred and arrested without incident.

A 23-year-old man is facing 11 theft-related charges.
