City of Winnipeg asking for public input on climate action plan

The City of Winnipeg is asking Winnipeggers to weigh in on climate change.

The City says they are updating the Winnipeg Climate Action Plan as the need to cut pollution and use less energy is also becoming more urgent. The plan aims to plan and find solutions to quickly address risks related to extreme heat, storms, floods, droughts, and wildfires.

A survey has been released to hear from Winnipeggers about how they are affected by the changing climate, to help develop actions to lower emissions, adapt, and protect the community.

The survey will be available on the City’s website until June 28.
