2 charged with manslaughter after critically injured man dies in Winnipeg hospital

Winnipeg police say two young adults have been charged in connection with the death of a 20-year-old man in Winnipeg over the weekend.
The Winnipeg Police Service says Nikolas Bear died in hospital after being found with critical injuries in a home on Keenleyside Street in Munroe East on Saturday evening.
Police say they were responding to a wellbeing call.
An 18-year-old man was arrested by officers at the scene. Later that evening, a 19-year-old man was arrested in Glenwood.
Augustine Owen Bear and Xaavier Xander Figgler have been charged with manslaughter and aggravated sexual assault. Both were detained in custody. The allegations have not been tested in court.
Bear was a member of Berens River First Nation who was living in Winnipeg.
