Man charged for allegedly sexually assaulting teen after meeting through social media

Winnipeg police say a 24-year-old man has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a teen.
WPS says in October 2025, a man using the username MANITOBAW, allegedly contacted a teen through social media. This reportedly led to both meeting in-person several times. During the meetings, it is believed the man allegedly sexually assaulted the teen.
Over the course of the investigation, police were able to identify the man and took him into custody on Feb. 1.
Since, 24-year-old Christ Ismael Andjide has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, two counts of obtaining sexual services from a person under 18 years of age, and luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunications.
