Man stabbed in parking lot after costume party in St. Vital

A man was stabbed during a fight outside a costume social at the St. Vital community centre. The incident occurred after midnight on October 11th on Overton Street.
The victim in his 30s was transported to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable.
The suspect has fled prior to police arrival and the Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
“Major crimes is still working on it, it sounds like there’s a couple suspects for sure that they’re trying to identify,” said Dani McKinnon, Winnipeg police. “Good news is, someone there has to know who these people are, sounds like everyone was in the social hall at one point together, we’re just asking the community if you have any information to please contact major crimes.”
