19-year-old charged in McMillan fatal hit-and-run

Winnipeg police have charged a 19-year-old in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in McMillan on Thursday morning.
The WPS responded to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist around 7 a.m. near Wellington Crescent near Cockburn Street.
A 61-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

Police were able to determine a white BMW was being driven at high speed when it hit the cyclist.
Nineteen-year-old Beckham Keneth Severight has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
