Winnipeg police have charged three people in connection with a pair of homicides last week.
The WPS says the first homicide occurred on Jan. 29. Officers received reports of a man who had been stabbed at a hotel along Main Street.
Police responded to a hotel in the 600 block of Main Street, where they found 40-year-old Carl Wescoupe dead.
A couple of days later, on Feb. 1, the WPS responded to another hotel along Main Street after receiving a report that a man was looking for help after he was also stabbed.

At the time, he also reported that another person in an apartment on Selkirk Avenue had been stabbed.
When police and paramedics arrived at the hotel, they treated the man and he was taken to hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable.
Officers then attended the apartment along Selkirk Avenue, where they found the second victim in a suite. He died at the scene.
Through an investigation, police were able to determine that both homicides were linked.
Kurtis Joseph Dilallo, 39, Robert Shawn Murdock, 31, and Ernest John Young, 54, all from Winnipeg, have been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
The WPS adds both incidents are not believed to be random.
