Winnipeg cyclist in critical condition after collision with vehicle

Winnipeg police say a cyclist is in critical condition in hospital after a collision with a vehicle on Monday evening.

The Winnipeg Police Service says it happened just after 6 p.m. on Dufferin Avenue and Salter Street.

Paramedics provided emergency medical care to the 42-year-old cyclist before transporting them to hospital.

Police say the driver remained on scene and spoke with officers.

The WPS traffic collision investigation section is investigating.
