Three men have been charged following a lengthy Winnipeg police investigation into the kidnapping of a delivery driver who was held at gunpoint for several hours while suspects stole about $25,000 worth of merchandise.
Police say the incident happened on Oct. 11, 2024, when a 22-year-old delivery driver was making a delivery to a business on Nairn Avenue. Investigators allege an armed suspect forced the victim into the back of his trailer, stole his cellphone and merchandise, and threatened to harm him and his family.
The victim was then taken to a storage facility on Notre Dame Avenue, where he was allegedly forced to provide access codes to storage lockers. Police say suspects stole roughly $25,000 worth of additional merchandise before eventually releasing the victim near where the ordeal began. He was not physically injured.
Following the investigation, Winnipeg police arrested three suspects over a span of more than a year.
Jonathon Ranger, 43, Tyson Shane Daniels, 34, and Terrence Joel McIvor, 35, have each been charged with kidnapping, robbery and other offences. All three remain in custody.
Police say a stolen firearm and contraband cigarettes were seized during Ranger’s arrest in December 2024, while methamphetamine, cocaine and a knife were recovered when Daniels was arrested in July 2025. McIvor was arrested earlier this month in northwestern Ontario before being returned to Winnipeg.
