The 55-year-old also allegedly incited hatred towards the Muslim and Jewish communities in posts on X.

The investigation by the RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region’s National Security Enforcement Section in Manitoba began Jan. 16.

“The security environment in which public figures operate continues to evolve both within Canada and abroad, and we recognize this is a time for increased vigilance,” the national police force said in a news release.

Jason Paul Rindall was arrested Feb. 13 and charged with uttering threats to cause death. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 13.
