Winnipeg police looking for woman who allegedly impersonated police officer

Winnipeg police are looking for a woman who allegedly falsely identified herself as a police officer while trying to steal something from someone’s home in April.

WPS says around 8:45 a.m. on April 2, the woman in question is believed to have gone to a house along Alburg Drive near Tralee Place.

While at the home, the woman allegedly identified herself as a police officer and tried to force her way past the homeowner in an attempt to steal something. The woman was unsuccessful in her attempt and drove off in a grey or silver Chevrolet Cobalt.

It is believed that she was accompanied by a second vehicle — a blue Hyundai Palisade.
