26-year-old inmate dies at Women’s Correctional Centre in Headingley

A 26-year-old woman who was in custody of the Women’s Correctional Centre in Headingley died on Saturday, Manitoba Justice says.
The province did not provide additional information on the inmate or her death “for privacy reasons.”
The death was reported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
“Manitoba Justice extends condolences to the family,” the province wrote in a brief news release.
