Winnipeg police say two men were arrested in connection with a series of robberies at the same gas bar on Henderson Highway between June 2024 and September 2025.
The Winnipeg Police Service alleges one of the two suspects was responsible for all six robberies – one in 2024 and five this year – involving weapons at the gas bar. The second suspect was present during one of the robberies, according to police.
In all six alleged incidents, police say none of the victims required medical attention.
Winnipeg police say the robberies usually happened in the early morning – between 4:45 and 7:45 a.m. A man would allegedly enter the gas bar armed with a knife or gun, an employee was threatened, and cigarettes were stolen.
On Sept. 21, around 7 a.m., police say two men entered the gas bar, threatened an employee with a firearm, and stolen cash and cigarettes.
“The suspects fled before police arrived, however they were taken into custody a few hours later near Main Street and Mountain Avenue,” WPS said in a news release Sunday. “The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation.”
Adam Zebrasky, 51, was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon, use of imitation firearm during commission of an indictable offence and more. He was detained in custody.
Anthony Bris, 29, was charged with robbery and use of imitation firearm during commission of an indictable offence. He was detained in custody.
Investigators allege they later determined Zebrasky was linked to the previous five robberies. On Thursday, a search warrant was executed at a home on Rothesay Street. Zebrasky, who was previously released from custody, was re-arrested. He was charged with nine additional offences, including five counts of robbery. He was detained in custody.
None of the allegations against either suspect has been tested in court.
