Water restored at Seven Oaks Hospital after water main break

Water service was restored to Seven Oaks Hospital, roughly 24 hours after a water main break led to flooding in the hospital.

Water was restored late Sunday night, around midnight.

“Work is underway to fully restore all services at the hospital, and we will continue collaborating with regional partners to maintain continuity of care for our patients,” a spokesperson for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) said in a statement.

“We want to extend our sincere gratitude to all staff for their dedication and tireless efforts during this challenging time.”

A full water shutdown at the hospital was ordered Saturday after 10 p.m. once flooding was discovered in a lower level of the hospital following a water main break.

Urgent Care at Seven Oaks Hospital remained open, and there was no disruption to service or care.

Water services at the Wellness Institute were not affected.
