Man charged in string of thefts at stores in CF Polo Park

Winnipeg police say a 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with a string of thefts between May and October.

WPS says just before 11 a.m. on Nov. 10, officers responded to a house along Furby Street for an unrelated matter and found a man in medical distress.

While the man was being provided medical care, police learned that he was wanted on nine outstanding warrants and was believed to have been connected to a string of retail thefts.

It is believed those thefts occurred between May 15 and Oct. 5 at several retail stores in CF Polo Park. Roughly $20,300 worth of merchandise had been stolen.

Police have since charged Dysin Cole Spence with numerous theft-related offences and failing to comply with release order offences.
