Winnipeg police seeking assistance following fatal rollover collision involving pedestrian

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward after a motor vehicle accident on Sept. 16 at approximately 6:30 p.m., which resulted in a fatality near the intersection of Abinojii Mikanah and St. Mary’s Road.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was on scene with a seriously injured adult woman. She was later transported to hospital in critical condition.
A vehicle was traveling eastbound when it veered onto the shoulder and struck the woman, who was waiting at a bus stop. Police say the driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained on scene.
On Sept. 18, the 49-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
No charges have been laid at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
