Winnipeg homicide police investigating man’s death in South Point Douglas

Winnipeg police say the death of a 43-year-old man in South Point Douglas on Sunday is being investigated as a homicide.

The Winnipeg Police Service says Kerry Eastman, a member of Sandy Bay First Nation who was living in Winnipeg, was found on Waterfront Drive with “injuries consistent with being assaulted” around 1:48 a.m.

Eastman was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries.

Winnipeg homicide police are investigating.
