The first happened in the 400 block of Kennedy Street after reports of a fire in a high-rise building at around 8:15 p.m. according to a news release from the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service.

Using aerial ladders to attack the blaze, crews were able to extinguish the fire, declaring it under control at roughly 1:07 a.m.

The home sustained significant damage as a result of the blaze and firefighting efforts, but no injuries were reported.
