Nonprofit looking for new homes for animals during holidays

K9 Advocacy Manitoba is spreading the word that they’re looking for people interested in adopting dogs and cats this holiday season.
The nonprofit organization purchased a table at the Peg City Kindness Crew’s Christmas market on Sunday, trying to find forever homes for animals that are currently in their care.
The main goal of the organization is to aid rural First Nation communities in managing the overpopulation of stray animals.
“Manitoba’s overpopulation is insane and no matter where you look there’s animals. So these guys need adoptions, and we need help. We need sponsors, we need volunteers, we need fosters, flight angels (volunteers who transport pets to their new homes via air travel), because we send animals out of province where they don’t have overpopulation like we do. Yeah just spreading the word, and hoping that one day we’re not doing this constantly,” said Jennelle Andre-Sealey, an administrator and volunteer with K9 Advocacy Manitoba.
