Manitoba man allegedly communicated with minors on Snapchat for ‘sexual purpose,’ police say

By News Staff

A Manitoba man was arrested Aug. 24 in connection with an investigation into online communication with minors on Snapchat “for a sexual purpose.”

The Manitoba RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) says 20-year-old Tyson Vandenbosch of Steinbach has been charged with two counts of luring a child.

Investigators allege there are several other victims they have not been able to identify following an analysis of the “data extracted from the digital devices seized in the investigation.”

ICE investigators say the Snapchat account name they looked into was “drifting_ty101”.

Investigators are encouraging anyone with information to contact the ICE Unit at 204-984-3129.
