Man in hospital after stabbing on Winnipeg transit bus

Winnipeg police say a 30-year-old man is in hospital after a random stabbing on a bus Tuesday evening.

WPS says around 5 p.m., officers responded to a report that a man had been stabbed on a transit bus near Main Street and Selkirk Avenue.

Officers learned that a 30-year-old was stabbed during an unprovoked altercation with another man and a woman, both of whom fled before police arrived.

The 30-year-old was taken to hospital in unstable condition and has been upgraded to stable.
