Police say a 43-year-old man has been charged in connection to numerous thefts at grocery stores in Winnipeg between February and August.
WPS says officers began an investigation into thefts after receiving reports that a man had attended a grocery store on Reenders Drive between February and July and had allegedly stolen roughly $1,000 worth of merchandise.
On Tuesday, the man attended a different grocery store, this time along Portage Avenue, and allegedly stole roughly $200 worth of merchandise.
Following that alleged theft, police took the man into custody and were able to connect him to nine other incidents at the first grocery store location.
The suspect has been charged with 10 counts of theft under $5,000, and three warrants for failing to attend court.
