Winnipeg police are seeking a suspect in connection with an attempted murder investigation dating back to the fall of 2021 in West Broadway.

The Winnipeg Police Service says two men, aged 29 and 35, sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds during the Nov. 25, 2021, incident on Furby Street near Sara Avenue.

Both victims were taken to hospital in critical condition, where they later recovered from their injuries.

Investigators with the major crimes unit identified 28-year-old Yusuf Abdulqadir Ali as a suspect. He is wanted on charges of attempted murder and several firearms offences.

Ali is described as six-foot-three, weighing 235 lbs. with a medium build.

Winnipeg police say he is “gang-affiliated and involved in the drug subculture,” is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
