Winnipeg police are investigating after a woman was allegedly physically assaulted, tied up and left in a dumpster earlier this month.

The Winnipeg Police Service is looking for three suspects wanted on arrest warrants obtained by the sex crimes unit. One suspect is wanted for attempting to commit murder, according to police.

Investigators allege the 27-year-old victim was forced to attend a location on Carlton Street.

“She was physically assaulted, resulting in her losing consciousness, and… she was bound for a significant period of time,” WPS said in a news release.

“The suspects eventually forced the female, who was still restrained, into a dumpster, where she was abandoned. Her screams for help were heard when she was assisted and freed.”

Police say they were called to a Winnipeg hospital Dec. 10 shortly after 4 p.m. The victim was being examined and treated for many physical injuries, they say.

Joey Michael Audy, 35, is wanted for attempting to commit murder, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, robbery, and forcible confinement.

Evelyn Marie McKay, 40, and Romeo Chris Miles, 27, are wanted for robbery and forcible confinement.

Winnipeg police say the public should not approach the suspects and should call 911.
