Winnipeg police say a fourth person has died following Sunday morning’s shooting in Winnipeg’s West Broadway neighbourhood.

WPS says officers were called to a multi-suite home on Langside Street and Sara Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. for reports of multiple injured people.

When they arrived, they found five people suffering from gun shot wounds.

A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene and the three others — two men and a woman — were taken to hospital in critical condition. One man had died from his wounds on Sunday shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Police have since confirmed the woman has also died from injuries.

Police have identified the four people who were killed as 34-year-old Crystal Shannon Beardy, 33-year-old Stephanie Amanda Beardy, 29-year-old Melelek Leseri Lesikel, and 41-year-old Dylan Maxwell Lavallee.

Winnipeg police chief Danny Smyth said the home and all the victims were previously known to police.

WPS says residents in the nearby area can expect a heavy police presence over the week as investigators conduct their investigation.

Smyth says the homicide unit has dealt with at least ten homicides in November alone.

Anyone with any information regarding the shooting is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
