3 arrested in West End homicide, charged with 2nd-degree murder

By News Staff

Police say three Winnipeggers are facing second-degree murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting in the city’s West End last month.

The Winnipeg Police Service says 38-year-old Cory Roger Roulette was found with gunshot wounds at a multi-room residence on Furby Street near Sargent Avenue on Aug. 26 around 12:30 a.m.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries.

Investigators believe three suspects who did not know Roulette forced their way into the room.

“The victim was confronted and shot, resulting in his death,” police said in a news release.

Kyle Alex Harper, 25, was arrested Aug. 26 and is facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and failure to comply with condition of release order.

Police say two additional suspects were identified and arrested Sept. 1.

Ramona Harriette Harper, 21, was charged with second-degree murder.

Raoul Wes-Tyson Bradley Harper, 19, was charged with second-degree murder and failure to comply with condition of release order.

All three suspects were detained in custody.

The WPS homicide unit continues to investigate.
