WPS investigating West End homicide

Winnipeg police say a 38-year-old man was shot and killed in the city’s West End early Saturday morning.

The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating Cory Roger Roulette’s death as a homicide.

Police say officers were called to a multi-room residence on Furby Street near Sargent Avenue around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a man who had been shot.

Officers arrived to find the man unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to hospital in critical condition but died of his injuries.

Police allege the suspect or suspects fled before officers arrived.
