Winnipeg man facing 7 gun-related charges

Winnipeg police have charged a man with several gun-related offences, saying additional charges might be added at a later date.

The WPS says around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop along Arlington Street, after recognizing a possible suspect in connection with a gun-related incident that’s under investigation.

During the traffic stop, officers took two men into custody. Officers note, one of them was carrying a satchel containing a handgun with a high-capacity magazine holding live ammunition.

The 28-year-old from Winnipeg is currently facing seven gun-related charges.
