Winnipeg police seize $235,000 worth of cocaine, man charged

Police in Winnipeg say a 26-year-old has been charged in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) says members of its guns and gangs unit executed a search warrant for a home along Hawthorne Avenue on Friday as part of the investigation.

While searching the home, officers allege they found and seized roughly $235,000 worth of cocaine.

In addition, $120,000 in cash, a billiard ball weapon, a money counter, and packaging materials were also seized.

The 26-year-old has since been charged with five charges relating to drug trafficking.
