18-year-old charged with drug, weapons trafficking: Winnipeg Police

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) has charged an 18-year-old in connection with an investigation into 3D-printed firearms.

The WPS says in January, officers from the Service Firearms Investigation and Enforcement Unit (FIEU) along with officers from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) began an investigation into the manufacturing of 3D-printed guns after discovering several had been sold.

Through the investigation, the FIEU searched a home along Boyd Avenue.

Officers seized the following items:

 

Winnipeg police say the 18-year-old is facing nine charges relating to drug and weapons trafficking.
